This is an initial meeting to discuss whether Heart of Iowa Midwifery is a good fit for your pregnancy and birth journey. This is a  

45 minute visit where you can come with all your questions and we will also have a few questions for you.

Maternity Package

$8,000

Included in this package is: all prenatal care, home birth, postpartum care, newborn care for the first 28 days, water birth tub & supplies, and all birth supplies. Additional costs include: lab work, ultrasounds, any medications needed during pregnancy/postpartum, newborn metabolic screen and birth certificate.  Please note that labs, ultrasound, and medications can be billed through insurance. Payments will be made in installments throughout the pregnancy and  must paid in full by 36 weeks. We do not offer discounted costs if entering into care later in pregnancy.

Well Woman Annual Exam

$200

Well woman visit with physical exam, review of symptoms, labs and Pap smear as needed.

Problem Focused Well Woman Exam

$250

Well woman exam with a deeper dive into specific issues such as hormone testing, menstrual cycle dysfunction, or significant health issues.   Follow up visits to problem focused visit are $150.

Insurance

We do not bill insurance at Heart of Iowa Midwifery.  However, we will provide you with an itemized superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement.  Insurance may be used for labs, ultrasounds and medications.

Christian Healthshare Plans

Most Christian health share plans such as Christian Healthcare Ministries and Samaritan Ministries will cover nearly 100% of home birth costs. We will supply you with an itemized superbill for reimbursement.

Forms of Payment

We accept cash, check, ACH bank transfer, HSA card, and all major credit/debit cards.  Please note that payments made by HSA, credit or debit card will incur a 3.5% surcharge. Financing available through Care Credit.
